This week we had a Gemini kit car out fitted with an F20C engine from a Honda S2000, if that’s not enough it also has a Rotrex C3094 supercharger from TTS performance strapped to it.
This customer chose us as he had come across the same issue so many other kit car owners face when getting their car tuned on a traditional rolling road, with so much power and so little weight the operator struggled to get the car’s tyres to grip the rollers, even though this car is using full racing slicks!
As our Dynapack chassis dyno bolts directly to the hubs of the car, there is no risk of wheel spin, this allowed us to find some key faults and release an extra ~70bhp and widen the torque curve an extra 2500RPM from just fixing the faults and tuning the fuelling, unfortunately, with this new found power the original OEM clutch decided it’d had enough and began to slip before realising the cars true potential.
